Sarnia, ON - Incredibly, 80 per cent of child car seats checked at Sarnia-Lambton car seat clinics since February were improperly installed. Is yours installed correctly?
On Saturday, April 23, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., a FREE Child Car Seat Check Clinic will be held at Petrolia OPP, 4224 Oil Heritage Rd., Petrolia. The event, part of Spring Seat Belt Campaign Week, is sponsored by the County of Lambton Community Health Services Department, OPP, Sarnia Police Services, Ministry of Transportation and Bruce Power.
'A properly installed child car seat can prevent injury or death by 75 per cent,' says Andrea Wessels, Health Promotion Assistant at Community Health Services. 'Our trained personnel will ensure the child car seat is installed properly and you know how to use it. The child's safety is our main concern.'
