Ways to Help

  • Let them know you are concerned and help is available.
  • Find where to go for help and offer support to seek it out.
  • Learn as much as possible about eating disorders and the dangers of dieting - the more you know, the more you can help.
  • Provide information to understand the effects of anorexia, bulimia and dieting.
  • Be patient - overcoming issues around food and weight takes time.
  • DO NOT force them to eat
  • DO NOT comment about food and weight
