Purpose

To develop an efficient, coordinated, easily accessible, well known transportation system with the following success measures:

  • concerns are identified
  • partnerships are identified
  • coordinated system is initiated

Studies have been ongoing since 1991. We have identified that seniors still face problems obtaining transportation for non-emergency needs. There is adequate equipment in the area to provide the needs but we believe they are not well coordinated. The City of Sarnia and Lambton Elderly Outreach have applied for a grant to provide a single access number for seniors and disabled requiring this service. Software has been purchased by the city and L.E.O. to implement this program.
