Because of the demand for information about food allergies, particularly in the school setting, the Community Health Services has put together information "Food Allergy Facts". The kit contains fact sheets on the following topics:

The Health Unit web site also posts consumer Food Safety Alerts for food products that have been recalled because of food allergens that have not been declared on the product label. Please feel free to photocopy and distribute these fact sheets - either individually or as a package - for distribution to teachers, parents and other caregivers.
