Measles is an acute, highly communicable viral disease causing a high fever, conjunctivitis, caryza, cough, white spots on the throat and a characteristic red blotchy skin rash.
10-21 days.
Airborne droplets from the nose and throat of infected persons.
Four (4) days before rash to five (5) days after.
Monitor and treat symptoms.
Immunization with MMR vaccine after first birthday and 4-6 years.
