Before you travel anywhere in the world, make sure you have the appropriate immunization. Childhood immunization should be up to date. You will also need other immunization depending on where you will be travelling.
At least 3 months before your scheduled trip to find out the shots you will need. Some immunization series take up to 8 weeks to complete, so be sure to allow enough time.
It is a good idea to make an appointment to speak to the Immunization Nurse as soon as you start planning your trip. The Nurse will also provide you with relevant information about potential risks in the area where you will be travelling.
Proof of immunization may be required before entering certain countries.
In the event an appointment cannot be accommodated at Community Health Services Department, listed below are healthcare settings that could provide travel immunization.
